I'm on TV!

Mummy was carrying me and walking down orchard road when the crew of the upcoming TV show 'Beauty Files' approached mummy! As they filmed her, they made sure they were able to see my face.. While mummy had to talk about her mummy stuff, all I needed to do was to be mummy's cute baby. At the end of the day, I was quite tired, and fell asleep in mummy's arms. Filming is really tiring, don't you think so?

Daddy's Birthday at the Flyer

Mummy and I took Daddy to the Singapore Flyer for his birthday celebration. This year is the first time I'm celebrating his birthday, and mummy and I have been planning this for a while. We enjoyed ourselves that day, and I was very happy. While at the flyer, a little girl approached me and wanted to be my friend. When I agreed to play with her, she was overjoyed!

Our 1st Flyer ride!

So slow...yawn..

Wow..I'm so high up!

Lets try the seat..

Hello!

Can I kiss you..?!

I like your socks...

Can we be friends?

She just can't keep her hands off me!

Do I look cute?

Eat Drumstick

I'm four months old today! As a treat, granny prepared a big drumstick for me to taste, to signify that I will always have good food to eat wherever I go. I wonder how adults get such funny ideas... Anyway I had my first taste of solids today and frankly, I think milk tastes better.

All dressed-up and ready for my first drumstick.

Here it comes!

Wow! its a big drumstick!

Ummph...tastes funny...

Wait a minute...

It actually tastes quite good!

Mummy's new job!

Today is the first day of mummy's new job...She's now a full-time mummy for baby Ernest! Mummy's last day of work was last Friday, and she was very sad as she had told me she would miss many close friends. But though she was sad, at least she has made me very happy! Now I can have mummy's undivided attention until I'm big enough to go for school, yay! Daddy told me that you made a very big sacrifice for me, so I'll be your good boy and not make you angry, ok? Thanks mummy! Muacks! Look at how excited I am in sharing this great news!

My bubble blowing skill

Hi everybody, Aunty Denise caught me red-handed practising my new skill, blowing bubbles...with my nose! Haha! Look at the photographic evidence she sent to dad...

Bye Granduncle Lai Heng

Granduncle Lai Heng left us on the 4th of November. Though I've not had many chances of playing with you, I'll always remember the day you carried me on my first visit to Grandma's house. Daddy and mummy said I looked so safe in your arms. Don't worry Granduncle, everyone is very strong, and they'll all look after themselves and Great-grandma, ok? Goodbye..

To Granduncle Lai Heng..

Hello Granduncle Lai Heng. Daddy, mommy and I would like to wish you a speedy recovery. I know they were worried about your health this past week, so I just want you to know that I believe you will keep your promise to daddy to come back and play with me, ok! All the best!

Mommy has went back to work, and daddy is still recuperating from his surgery Thankfully, Aunty Denise offered to look after me during this period, and she has been doing a wonderful job to keep this baby happy and healthy! An expert in nail care, she even helped cut and file my nails so that I won't scratch myself, heehee.

Mummy's new toy

Hello! Daddy's just got back from his operation, and is now a little better to help me post this blog! I missed him when he was away, and know that he's back, I'm happy to know he's fine!

Mum was so worried that I'll scratch my face whenever she removes my mittens for me to exercise my fingers that she went to get me this manicure set. She found it so cute she had to show daddy what she got.

Now she can do manicures for my little nails anytime, anywhere, hehe!

The Fantastic Vacuum Machine

Daddy got me this little white...thing to suck out the slimy stuff so that I can sleep better at night! Thanks daddy! He just used it on me and it worked on one side. Everything came out, and it felt sooo good. As for the other side, I have to say it's too sticky, hehehe. Daddy just can't seem to clear it. At the end of the day, the simple tissue did the trick. Thanks daddy, I feel much better now! Daddy is going for an operation for his back tomorrow, mommy is so worried.. Don't worry mommy, daddy will be fine, and he will come back to play with me ok?

Removing my nose's slimy stuff..eeew

Hi all.. *sniffle* Daddy and mommy brought me to see Dr Toh yesterday, just to be sure my cold wasn't something troublesome. Thankfully, Dr Toh said that all the stuff that's clogging my nose is just in the nasal area, and nowhere else. And, to help me breath better, she asked Nurse Kelly to help remove the stuff in my nose. How did she do it? She inserted a long tube that was attached to a sucking machine into my nose. When she removed the slimy stuff, she proudly showed the stuff to daddy and mommy , and also to Dr Toh, who wanted to be sure whatever inside was not green and bad..
Just a little history, Nurse Kelly is a very nice lady, and together with Nurse Evelyn, her good friend, always help Dr Toh in the clinic. That's what daddy and mommy says. I, however, remember them as the two who made me cry on two ocassions. The first is when they had to draw some blood for some tests. The second is for this time when they helped to remove the slimy stuff in my nose. On both ocassions, I cried like a baby... because I am a baby! Hehe... Anyway, Nurse Kelly was actually afraid that I would not like her because of the two reasons, but I want to tell her its ok as it was for my sake that she had to do it, and also because Dr Toh told her to, so its not your fault, ok?
Daddy and mommy also brought me to see Dr Goh and Nurse Irene (Another nice lady who helps Dr Goh, and helps mommy everytime mommy goes for her checkups). Dr Goh was so happy to see me. Hi Dr Goh, I missed you too. It's been a while since you delivered me and I first laid eyes on you..heehee.
Anyway, I'm fine now. Though the nose is still stuffy, I'm happily playing, feeding and sleeping, so I keep you guys posted when the nose clears! *sniffle*

My first Cold...

Hello.. I caught my first cold today. *sniffle*. Mom suspected so in the wee hours of the morning when I had difficulty breathing, and was obviously agitated, and that made her so worried! She woke daddy at 5 am, ,and daddy asured her by telling her not to worry. They monitored me for the rest of the day, and dad said he would come back from work to take me to the doctor if need be. *snuffle*. Mom called the hospital later in the morning, and the nurse said that Dr Toh would not be aroud in the afternoon. However, she told mom that she could get some nose drops for me to relieve the congestion, and watch for the mucus to turn green to be sure its a cold. *sniffle*.
*sniffle*. Mom called dad and told him about the nose drop, and daddy went to buy it after work. When daddy reached home, mommy showed him the mucus which she removed and left on the cotton bud. It was green... (eew). Daddy then applied the nose drops for me. I was a good boy and I went to bed early... *sniffle*. Will let you guys know when I get better. Good night...z.z.z..Z.Z.. *snuffle*.

At Raffles Hospital...

Hello! I said I'll share more of my past two months, so here's one picture of me in Raffles hospital where I was born. I was really small then. I weighed 2.46kg, and was 46cm tall. Daddy and mommy still remembers the first two nights when they were about to sleep, that they will hear a trolley being pushed from the nursery to the wards, and they would wonder if it was my trolley. Chances are, it was me! Hungry for mommy's delicious milk, hehe. I had to learn how to feed too, and it was not easy for both of us. I had a little jaundice, and had be kept under UV lighting. Mommy was looking for me, and found me by the mitten I was wearing. She cried when she saw me...

There were also the moments of my first pee that sprayed onto daddy, and my first few poops. A photo taken with the flash on made daddy worry so much he had to ask the doctor if my eyes were fine.

By the way, the doctor who delivered me was Dr Karolyn Goh, and the baby doctor was Dr Veronica Toh. They are both very beautiful, and I want to thank them both for looking after mommy and me.

I was born on that day under advice from Dr Goh, and before admission, dad brought mom for some maggi goreng and prata at Jalan Kayu. Dad spent the night on a nice single sofa bed beside mom. When mommy's contractions came, the pain became too much for her to bear after two hours, and she requested for epidural. Oh mommy, sorry for the pain... When I finally came out, I cried and cried. Daddy was stunned and forgot to take pictures, and had to be reminded by Dr Goh. Dr Goh also let daddy cut my cord. Once mommy hugged me, I was passed to Dr Toh, and somehow, some blood spilled into her jacket. Oops... Daddy saw her stick this long plastic tube into my nose, and he said he was worried. Haha. Well, after this, I was taken to the nursery for a bath, mom went to the ward, and daddy remained stunned...

Shrieking baby...

Its now 9:47 on daddy's laptop. Just cried for milk again. I need to confess now that I've been a difficult baby. My cries are like shrieks! And the worse thing is I love to stay awake from 12 am to 3 or 4 am? (Can't remember since I would have drifted off to dreamland...haha). Anyway, mommy had a very hard time looking after me, especially during this period when she has very little sleep because I've been keeping her up throughout the night. Thanks mommy for sacrificing your beauty sleep because of me. I grow up soon and be your good baby, ok! Muacks!

Hello!

Hi everyone, I am Ernest, and I was born on 29 July. I'm too young to blog, so dad is helping me with the typing. All I need to do is do what I do best, which is being a baby, and dad will do the rest, haha.

Daddy only just set up this blogspot for me, so I'll catch try to catch up with more posts of myself from Day 1, but for now, I'll be blogging on everything I do now, so that I get to see myself growing up when I'm old enough.
